Network Marketing can be defined as a type of marketing wherein people enroll themselves with a firm and then they get paid for the sales they bring on behalf of the firm, and for others they help join the network. Network Marketing came into being for the simple reason of helping people generate income and to make the parent firm earn without having to recruit people themselves; thereby outsourcing their process. The concept of network marketing met with wide success and adulating, thanks to its user-friendly methods to generate income. Network Marketing basically was in the limelight in the 1980's where business firms began to manage sales and commissions through their members. However, the concept of Network Marketing met with wide success only with the arrival of the World Wide Web (read internet). With the onset of the internet era, a new kind of companies cropped up. These were the MLM companies. MLM was actually the abbreviation for multi level marketing, or in layman language- Network Marketing. No doubt, MLM companies were a hit; and why not, they provided people with easy to earn methods and tested formulae. All in all, Network Marketing was at its peak with the arrival of the internet and the growth of MLM companies. Names such as Amway, Oriflamme etc were becoming household names. So, Network Marketing had spread its roots all through the world. Network Marketing, therefore was a success. Network Marketing paved the way for even not so knowledgeable people to earn easily. Network Marketing is a billion dollar industry, and it is growing at an astounding rate. In Network Marketing people who have joined the parent firm are independent agents. The latter actually work as distributors of products and services of the parent firm/ company. these agents have to grow the network by adding others in the network, providing them with training etc. the best part about Network Marketing is that the income generated by an agent is not only from his direct sales, but also from the sales generated by the people he/she has added in his/her network. This ensures easy flow of revenue. Network Marketing has literally made many a people, financially independent. it would be no exaggeration to say that Network Marketing has changed the lives of many. Network Marketing is also known by other names vix Multi level marketing (MLM), Cellular marketing. The concept of Network Marketing is now tried and tested by many individuals as well as celebrated companies, the world over. All in all, Network Marketing is a simple-to-understand and profitable home-based business. Network Marketing ensures success and profit, if properly understood. The concept of Network Marketing, therefore, has revolutionized the field of business, and what better way than to work without having a BOSS?
